Involvement of Ibbenbüren partnercities in the European hands
- project

Supported by the city administration of Ibbenbüren we visited the partnercities Dessau - Rosslau/Eastern Germany, Prievidza/Slovakia and Jastrzębie Zdrój/Poland. Main issue was to give the partnership - network a new impuls by involving children and young people from a the partnercities in a common European art project to be realized in Ibbenbüren as a part of the LEADER - project "artistic traffic islands - route" in time 2010 - 2013.

So we proposed to join the project EUROPEAN HANDS , already developed during the European youth meetings "European Islands I ( 2008) and II ( 2009 ) were first 1:1 models were created by different groups.Here the background / documentation of the EUROPEAN HANDS - project. |

Regarding
the participation concept, which was developed by the
European youngsters , 12 different hand forms should be
united in European diversity. As result of the Eur meetings
in Kulturspeicher/ Ibbenbüren in 2008-2009, we had
concepts of the HANDS from Turkey, Lithuania, Poland,
Romania, the Netherlands, Romania and Germany. And now, if
we invite all partner cities from Ibbenbüren to realize one
national/regional hand project, we get an overview about the
participation like this :
