The scyscope is composed of four legs and a circular occulus. Each leg marks one of the cardinal points of South, North, East and West. Its feet allow the structure to be adjusted to the different ground conditions. Its top consists of two wooden rings which join the legs and form a sky-window which is cladd in white paper.

The scyscope concentrates the view of the vast sky to the size of this occulus. This reduced clearing brings the expansive clearing over the fields closer to the scale of an individual, more intimate experience. It functions as a mediator between the scale of the lanscape and that of the human being.
