Intro - workshops Minsk ( weekend 18.- 19. July )

How we get to know culture and people of the hosting countries and regions as well as the background of the participating groups ?  By means of different media : video –and fotocamera, pencil and watercolors, scissors and glue !

BY / I I  1.  EUROPEAN ISLANDS IN MINSK ( connected with  Lit  / I 1.  EUROPEAN ISLANDS IN  VILNIUS ) Just after arrival in Minsk – and after, in Vilnius, the artistic dialogue with the Byelorussian and Lithuanian culture will begin. Led by the hosting Byelorussian and Lithuanian young people, the participants are invited to look for EUROPEAN ISLANDS in Minsk and Vilnius. Led by the question “who owns the public space”, the focus of the cameras will be put on

• visibility of changes, in the face of the city and the inhabitants, since the countries became independent.
• Interesting artificial designs of traffic islands
• other avantgardistic architecture installations and art in public places
• contrasts/ interfaces of formal and informal urban design/city culture

Corresponding pictures/objects shall be found and documentated by video/photo. The evaluation of the impressions will be presented as part of the educational Workshop BY/III A : “ Who owns the public space”    

BY / I I  3 :   to "see" -- me-you-you-me-me-you-you. artistic get-to-know-each-other-play  for the first meeting days. partners chosen by ticket methods sit opposite themselves and communicate on two ways, verbal and averbal: analogous, on the paper, with the pencil. The partners are asked to fill the background with further outlines or text arcades to what the partner has transmitted to them verbally.  This material serves for the remix and can become merged with photos and videos later.
