III. 1. Europe in the regions

What are the the influences of the EU in our region, the  added European value, the European partnerships of cities and districts, which connect our region with Europe ? - all this from the perspective of the youth.

We want to compare the situation in different European countries and by this introduce the so called LEADER - project in the district Steinfurt. This is a program for the development under perspectives like  sustainable, regenarative energy production and improve attractivity for tourists. So KAJA West wants to embed the European Islands in a touristical route connecting artificial roundanouts in the region and by this get the final realization period of European of Islands II (autumn 2009 - summer 2010 ) financed by the LEADER program.  That means apply for a cofinancing of the cost of materials, - roughly respectedly up to 10.000 Euros from this European programme.

The participants get to know not only this instrument for the support of the development of Euroean regions, but are also asked to report for their country and region the appropriate European supports to estimate the variety of the European programmes and the chances of the participating for the purpose of cofinancing of own stations of the European Islands wandering project.
