In the first common creative workshop all the associations, woken with the title be discussed, the participants are totally free to develop  first ideas, visions , without direct connection to the task to design a traffic island in the next steps . But of course the conventional  associations,  island = oasis of the quiet and relaxation with typical tourists and their attributes could  literally be illustrated by putting such an island in the contrasting situation of  noisy, frequented traffic island in the centre of a city. Freedom also means, that noone is forced to create an island situation for  a traffic roundabout. One workshop- group could  design also an swimming European Island for the “Aa-See” , the big lake in the middle of Ibbenbüren
