C     projects for Kreis Steinfurt

Origins and evoluation: This project consists of a colorfull cloud of birds, an installation representing diversity, permanent movement and dynamisn. The evolution of the project was quite spontaneous and interactive, each participant contributing with some unique bir design ti the whole composition. The birds are not the frightening hichcockian birds, but nicely colored birds, with a home-made look and feel to them, standing out from the sharp edges and neutral colors of the urban context.

Placement and implementation: the concepts of free flight of diversity of colors and shapes and directions, are alos backed up by the location of the roundabout in which the project would be displayed, near the airport Münster/Osnabrück. The friendly familiar feeling of the birds could alos be some kind of cure against some people`s fear of flight. Initially the prototype for the project was made of colored modeling clay sustained by wires, but the real installation should be built fromfiberglass and metal wires, of course keeping the warm feeling and the impression of a child`s play, given by the original materials.

Students / pupils groups from Poland and the Netherlands , who will join the project from September 08 on, are invited to create different forms of their own bird  - objects and build models  in scale 1:10  ( soon the dimension will be offered by the author Heliana Rotariu )
