We plan one workshop of grafic design / communication design students from different countries to the question of presentation and visual identiy of NGOs and groups, which organize youth meetings. All this not digital, in the internet or by beamer, but old fashioned, analog on paper, on exhibition posters.

The idea arose during a so called EECA -workshop of National Youth- agencies and funded NGO`s / informal groups, organized by the SALTO-YOUTH Eastern Europe and Caucasus Resource Centre. The NGO´s / groups presented their projects by a very improvisized process. This is ok, when the presentation takes places in closed circles of insiders and when the activitities, intercultural processes and results of the presented projects are personally explained by the organizers. But if the European YOUTH program should be made more visible in public spaces , a more professional concept is needed. To go to an professional advertisment agency - like the NA´s do - is not in the sense of the YOUTH program , which wants the involvement of youth in all what is possible. As KAJA cooperates with free initiatives of professional art - , architecture -and grafic design students , we are looking for experts to help in improving the visible identity of funded projects, to create attractive and original project profiles, organize a participation project of many NGO`s / groups in Europe with the aim of a promotion tour, to which each funded NGO or informal group should contribute.

We will start the project by a VISIBILITY - workshop during the meeting EUROPEAN EXPERIMENTS III in May 05 in Germany, in which the invited professional grafic design students should at first develop a general concept for the design of different contributions to the promotion tour and maybe already elaborate first posters, foto - + text documentations in A 0 size to documentate a realized project. Therefore the participating students should bring documentation material from national NGOs / groups, who already have organized international meetings and are interested to make the experiences and results visible. When we sucessfully start this workshop during the meeting EUROPEAN EXPERIMENTS III in Germany, we will have as result min. 6 posters according the 6 participating countries, first 6 exemples to win more partners for the next meetings. So after the meeting the participants will inform many other NGOS´s / groups in Europe and invite them to make more contributions. Maybe after one year we have enough posters - 30 to 50 , so that the promtion tour can begin. During the EECA Workshop already some representatives of NA`s announced , that they would "order" the exhibtiion to present in their national office.
